The second St Margaret’s Funerals home has opened in Bridgwater and the team have already started supporting the local community.
The new home, on Eastover, has been brought up to date by the St Margaret’s Hospice Care and St Margaret’s Funerals team, which offers a warm and welcoming building, carrying on the feel from the existing Taunton home.

Experienced Funeral Director Julie Lacey and her Assistant Angela Morteo have been delighted with the response since they began offering a modern, transparent, personal and affordable funeral service to everyone in the Somerset community. They have also been joined by Terena Gill, Funeral Assistant, who was previously a Community Fundraiser for the hospice in the Bridgwater area.
“While I worked at the hospice I worked very closely with recently bereaved families; helping them come to terms with the loss of someone close, by doing something positive and giving something back to the hospice.
“When I heard the role of Funeral Assistant, I thought it was the perfect role to put my experience to use.”
Terena Gill, Funerals Assistant
Terena is looking forward to being able to offer open mornings when the public can come along to the funeral home in Bridgwater and meet the staff, and local people such as celebrants, over a cup of coffee.
“The office is warm and inviting and we have a family room providing privacy to families, it really is a lovely space.” Finished Terena.
When restrictions ease the team are looking forward to welcoming the local community, to introduce the team and show them around the friendly and bright space. The home includes a special space that could accommodate families in the future wanting to hold celebrations of life for their loved ones.
